So what’s the story behind lei of love? 📖

When i graduated high school, the lei ceremony was by far the most chaotic and memorable part of graduation. As each lei piled on my neck it became a clear visual of the entire community of people that have raised me and the love and guidance i received from youth to adulthood. 💌

Similar to the pile of leis, sew local’s clothing line: lei of love is meant to illustrate the effort, care, and love threaded through each lei and remind you of the entire community that have supported you and will continue supporting you along your journey.

Representing Hawaiʻi through and through

No matter where you go, remember you are an image of Hawaiʻi. ✈️🌱 I hope these shirts are more than a cute addition to your closet, but a constant reminder to represent your local community, unwavering support from your loved ones throughout your journey, and your first home: Hawaiʻi.
