When thinking what the focus of my first design should be, my thoughts immediately gravitated towards the puakenikeni. This remarkable flower begins its journey with soft white petals, gradually transitioning into a buttery yellow, and finally blooming into its iconic, vibrant orange petals 🧡. Throughout this colorful transformation, one thing remains constant—the puakenikeni's beauty and sweet fragrance. 

Much like the puakenikeni flower's evolution, the journey through college is a transformative experience. Students discover their passions and new things about themselves, all while the same mindset and values instilled by the local community back home are still there guiding them. This strong foundation serves as a reminder of where they come from and that they are representing Hawaii’s community to its fullest.
